Health is... 2001 Winners

The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Department of Preventive Medicine, and The Bright Spot For Health, teamed up to offer this special contest. The judges included KU medical students Becky Klingler, Hal Taylor and Libby Koerner. Wichita-based judges were Dean Dodson, Patric Rowley and Myrliss Hershey.

Prizes were awarded in three categories-Elementary, Middle, and High School:

1st place: $1,000 U.S. bond for each winning student, supervising teacher and school principal, and an award plaque for the school.

2nd place: $500 U.S. bond for each winning student, supervising teacher and school principal, and an award plaque for the school.

3rd place: $200 U.S. bond for each winning student, supervising teacher and school principal, and an award plaque for the school.

10 honorable mention prizes: $50 U.S. bond for winning students, supervising teachers and school principals, and award plaques for the schools.
